1978 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM:
The Committee recommends the attached 1978 street improvement program
proposal be approved.
ROCK ACRES - ILLEGAL LAND DIVISION:
Public Works Director Widmer reported on an illegal division of ock
Acres Addition and submitted a draft letter addressed to the parties
involved explaining the violation and the Town's consequent actions.
The Committee recommends the letter be sent and the Town pursue the
appropriate action on the violation.
WATER DEPARTMENT SHOP:
The Committee recommends Public Works Director Widmer be authorized to
obtain bids for construction of a metal building for the Water Depart-
ment Shop.
HIGHWAY 34/STANLEY HILLS DRAINAGE PROBLEM:
The State Highway Department has requested the Town participate in
solving the drainage problem on Highway 34 near the Estes Park Sani-
tation District treatment plant. The Highway Department has proposed
installing a 54" arched pipe under the Highway to handle the runoff
from Steamer Drive. The Committee recommends the Town work with the
developer of Stanley Hills Subdivision to coordinate the drainage
system of Steamer Drive with the remedial measures proposed by the
State Highway Department.
SURPLUS PROPERTY AUCTION:
The Committee authorized the Public Works Director to hold an informal
public auction to dispose of surplus property accumulated by the various
Town Departments.
CETA PROGRAM:
The Committee discussed the advantages and disadvantages of participating
in the CETA program to obtain seasonal help and felt that the economic
benefits certainly justify continuing with the program.
STANLEY PARK TRAILER LOCATION:
The Horse Show and Rodeo Committee requested permission to locate the
field manager's trailer by the southeast entrance to Stanley Park.
The Committee recommends instead the trailer be located where it had
been previously located or in a similar non -visible spot to be approved
by the Town Administrator and Public Works Director.
REPORTS:
EAST RIVERSIDE BRIDGE - preliminary design for the East R
Drive bridge is complete and will be submitted next week.
