CHURCH USE OF MUNICIPAL BUILDING:
A request was received from the Estes Park Assembly of God Church to
use the Municipal Building for Sunday morning and evening services
until such time as they could obtain their own building. The Committee
recommends the church group be permitted to use the meeting room for
a 30 day period.
STANLEY PARK - BAZAAR AREA:
The Horse Show and Rodeo Committee requested that the Bazaar area at
Stanley Park approved for the Arabian Horse Show also be approved for
all of the horse shows. The Committee recommends approval.
MOUNTAIN BELL FRANCHISE:
Several alternatives to the expired franchise agreement with Mountain
Bell were reviewed and the Committee recommends adopting an ordinance
establishing an occupation tax of $4.00 per telephone account.
STREET FLUSHER TRUCK:
An attempt was made to sell the 1961 street flusher truck and bed at
the Town's surplus property auction but no offers were received above
the required $1,000 minimum bid. An offer of $750 has been received
and the Committee recommends accepting it.
EAST ELKHORN ADDITION COMPLEX - ACCESS TO PUBLIC PARKING LOT:
<� Roger Thorp, Architect for the East Elkhorn Addition complex, pre-
sented a drawing of the proposed new bank and office building and re-
y,11\tb. quested two accesses to the municipal parking lot immediately west of
the property. One access would be approximately midway along the
;��\it east boundary of the parking lot and the other at the northeast corner.
Five parking spaces would be eliminated which would be paid for by the
`4` owners of the new complex. The Committee recommends one access be
granted and that the petitioners be given the choice of which access.
MUNICIPAL BUILDING OFFICE RENTAL:
The Committee instructed the Town Administrator to obtain comparisons
of rental rates for local commercial office space and will review pre-
sent Municipal Building rental rates at a future meeting.
REPORTS:
HUTCHINGS QUIET TITLE SUIT - Mr. Hutchings has agreed to the
settlement which would provide the Town with a 50 foot wide
easement along the west edge of his property in return for the
parcel just southeast of Crowley's Restaurant. The necessary
documents are being drawn.
THE SURPLUS PROPERTY SALE held on June llth brought in $41L.25.
