VIRGINIA DRIVE SIDEWALK:
Mr. and Mrs. Leach and Judy Ricker discussed with the Committee sidewalk
proposals for the property located between the Village Theatre and the
Courtyard property. Mr. Leach stated that he is considering developing
the property and agreed to either construct a sidewalk as proposed in
the Virginia Drive right-of-way by June 1982 or would present redevelop-
ment plans which would include a sidewalk on his property. The Committee
felt either proposal would be adequate and recommends the 5' sidewalk
and curb be constructed by June 1, 1982.
The Committee discussed Mr. Steiner's proposal to construct a sidewalk
from the south property line to the north entrance of the Courtyard
building. The Committee recommends a 5' sidewalk and curb be constructed
from the south property line to the north property line by June 1, 1982.
The Committee reviewed Mr. Brown's proposal for a 4' sidewalk along the
east side of Virginia Drive from the south corner to the pedestrian
bridge. The Committee recommends a 5' sidewalk and curb be constructed
by June 1, 1982 which will connect to the existing sidewalk in front of
the Marden-Steffens Realty building and extend around the south corner
and up to the alley at the north end of the property.
TRUCK BIDS AND SNOWPLOW MOUNTING:
Six bids were received for a 3/4 ton 4-WD truck and the Committee
recommends the lowest bid which meets the specifications, Rosen-Novak's
bid of $9,059.87, be accepted.
Public Works Director Widmer presented information regarding an 8'
heavy duty snowplow which features a hinge in the middle and a spring
loaded trap mechanism along the bottom portion. The Committee recom-
mends purchasing and installing the plow on the new truck at a cost of
$3,050.
1981 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM ADDITIONS:
The Committee recommends adding portions of Twin Drive, Otis Lane,
Pinewood Lane, and Dekker Circle to the 1981 street improvement pro-
gram which will bring the total expenditure to $131,000.
IDA MORRIS PROPERTY - RESOLUTION REGARDING SALE:
