Lyn Boyer, Larimer County Housing Authority, Mr. Edward Grosshans of
Modular Dentention Facilities and Mr. Hary Neely, Program Administrator
for Estes Park appeared before the Committee and explained in detail
the proposal to place low cost employee housing in Estes Park through
a federally -funded HUD Program. The Town's responsibility would in-
clude site preparation, utility extension and parking. Ms. Boyer
explained five different methods of administration after the project
is complete.
The Committee decided to study the project further at the next Public
Works Meeting or when additional information was available.
VISITORS CENTER MAINTENANCE:
Mr. Larry Stumpp, Chamber of Commerce Manager, appeared before the
Committee and requested financial assistance with the replacement of
14 doors and installation of an insulating panel covering the doors
facing south from the Center.
The Committee recommends the Town finance two west doors and two east
doors for the Visitors Center. Public Works Director Widmer will
arrange for the installation of four metal doors at an estimated cost
of $850 - $1,000.00. The Committee also recommended the Chamber of
Commerce be responsible for any additional work required in the main-
tenance of the Visitors Center.
BEAVER POINT ANNEXATION:
At the direction of Mayor Tregent, Public Works Director Widmer prepared
a map indicating the property ownership from the Town limits west to the
Mary's Lake Road on the south side of the highway to the river.
The Committee directed Public Works Director to contact all of the
property owners to determine whether or not the annexation would be
desired. If there is an indication from the property owners, a meeting
will be arranged to solve any details necessary.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE:
A letter was received from Triple C Cleaning regarding the possible
re -bidding of the cleaning contract for the Municipal Building.
The Committee recomends the Town not re -bid the contract at this time.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
