RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS '`Public Works Committee September 26, 1984 Committee: Attending: Also Attending: Chairman Wood, Trustees Brown and Hix Chairman Wood, Trustees Brown and Hix Town Administrator Hill, Public Works Director Widmer, Clerk O'Connor INFORMATION KIOSK - USE REGULATIONS: Having reviewed the guidelines for the Information Kiosk, the Committee recommends approval of the following: REGULATIONS FOR USE OF INFORMATION KIOSK 1. Limited to display of generic information of general interest to the traveling public. Shall include, but not be limited to: a. Maps of the local area and National Park. b. Schedule of public transportation. c. General information of things to do in the area without specific reference to businesses by name. d. Information and schedules for Horse Shows and Rodeos. e. Information on local museums and historical sites. f. Church schedules. 2. Items which should not be displayed include: a. Brochures, posters or other items identifying or advertising businesses by name, unless related to Item 1.b. above. b. Posters or other items advertising events of local, non-profit organizations. 3. The Public Works Director shall maintain the kiosk and information contained therein. SIDEWALK SNOW REMOVAL: As referred by the Board of Trustees in their Town Board meeting September 13, 1984, a request has been made asking the Town to remove snow from the merchant's sidewalks (at the property owner's request) and assessing a fee for this request. In the past, if snow was not removed by Noon, the Town did so and billed the property owner for the cost, with a $25.00 minimum. Following discussion, the Committee recommends Public Works Director Widmer and Staff review the request with the Town Attorney and that Director Widmer talk to the downtown merchants to discuss options available REPORTS: The Committee reviewed updated Budget figures for 1985. Larimer County has graded and also treated Elm Road with dust suppressant. BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO. If State Highway Department requirements can be met, Wycon Construction Company will be the lowest bidder. Peacock Park is now completed. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
