APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FOR TEMPORARY INFRASTRUCTURE, BANK STABILIZATION & SHORING OF
STRUCTURES NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF LIFE OR PROPERTY
Temporary floodplain permits are required for all construction activity within the pre -flood regulatory floodplain and for all
construction activity within the current post -flood creek/river banks.
1 Complete and submit a Town Temporary Floodplain Development Permit Application for any and all construction
activity proposed within the regulatory floodplain and within the current post -flood creek/river banks.
(a) Accurately describe the activity proposed.
(b) Do not complete the shaded portions of the Town Application/Permit.
(c) Submit individual application for each property.
(d) Submit a copy of the relevant section of the applicable FIRM, and identify the
specific location of the proposed activity, even if outside the regulatory flooplain.
(d) Submit a copy of the appropriate profile(s) from the FIS, with the reach of the proposed
activity accurately identified.
2 If proposed activity occurs within the regulatory floodway:
(a) Submit an accurate cross section of the channel at the site of the proposed activity.
(b) Cross sections shall accurately depict and label both existing and proposed conditions.
(c) Cross sections shall include vertical elevations, horizontal dimensions and references.
(d) Cross sections shall include BFE(s), floodfringe boundaries and floodway boundaries of the regulatory
floodplain and the location of the proposed activity.
(e) The Applicant shall be the Engineer/Architect of record.
(f) The Engineer/Architect of Record shall be responsible for supervising all activities approved by this permit.
A letter of Compliance from the Engineer/Architect of Record shall be submitted upon completion of
permitted activity, stating the work was performed in compliance with plans and specifications approved
by the temporary floodplain permit.
3 Any and all construction activity within a floodway or wetlands is typically approved by the Department
of the Army (Corps of Engineers). This temporary Floodplain Development Permit for Temporary
(c ac ,., 4' ,,m 4 cta ,& 4 S e.. related to the flood of September, 2013 is necessary for the
preservation of life or property and shall comply with specific requirements of NWP(s)
4 Submit an accurate site plan detailing all construction activity proposed within floodplain boundaries.
(a) Identify floodplain and floodway boundaries.
(b) Identify all reference marks.
(c) Identify all property lines.
(d) Identify all easements.
(e) Identify all public rights f-ways„ (Right -of -Way Work Permits may be required.)
5 Submit construction plans and specifications, seal d by a Colorado Registered Engineer or Licensed Architect.
Said Engineer/Architect shall be the Engineer/Architect of Record. Letter of Compliance is required.
6 Submit $50.00 fee per Section 17.28.090 of the Municipal Zoning Code
