BOARD OF APPEALS
The Town of Estes Park is accepting applications for tow Volunteer Appointed Member
for the Estes Park Board of Appeals.
This Board meets as needed to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, or
determinations made by the Chief Building Official, to advise the Town Board on matters
relating to construction codes, and to facilitate amendments and adoption of construction
codes, as directed by the Town Board.
The Board consists of five individuals, one from each of the following professions or
disciplines:
1. Registered design professional with architectural experience or a general contractor
or superintendent of building construction with at least ten years’ experience, five of
which shall have been in responsible charge of work.
2. Registered design professional with structural engineering experience.
3. Registered design professional with mechanical engineering experience or a
mechanical contractor with at least ten years’ experience, five of which shall have
been in responsible charge of work.
4. Registered design professional with plumbing engineering experience or a plumbing
contractor with at least ten years’ experience, five of which shall have been in
responsible charge of work.
5. Licensed general contractor with at least ten years’ experience.
Currently there is an opening for a general contractor, architect, plumber. One
appointment will be for a four-year term expiring May 1, 2027, and the other two
appointments will be for five-year terms expiring May 1, 2028.
