Gentlemen:
Please find attached NCR’s proposal for an electronic cash
register-data
capturing device and keyboard-cassette
terminal
for the town of Estes Park.
After reviewing your activity levels and requirements,
we
are recommending
one register and one terminal device. One
register should adequately handle your volume, including
processing of mail receipts. We do not recommend processing
the latter on the 260 terminal as you lose the audit trail
and control benefits of validation,
document and remittance,
which is very desireable,
as we discussed. In my discussion with BillDoyle and Bill Manual of Larimer
County,they strongly recommended
the use of the NCR 260
as compared to competitive
units.They have been told
competitive
units are not compatible cassette—wise.
Also,
potential service conflict is eliminated
with unity of vendor.
They were very helpful and are ready to begin processing
as soon as you are ready with the requisite input devices.
I wish to thank you for the consideration
you have given
NCR and myself. You can be assured that the equipment
proposed herein is an integral part of NCRBs tradition of
quality,dependability
and service.In addition to excellent
products,we also provide complete, local supporting services.
Should you have any questions,or at anytime we may be of help,
please do not hesitate to call me.%ncerely yours,
