HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Administrative Committee 1971-04-08RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Administrative Committee April 8,1971 Committee: Attending: Also Attending: Chairman Petrocine;Trustees Dannels and Tregent Chairman Petrocine;Trustees Dannels and Tregent Town Administrator Hill POLICE DISPATCHER’S WAGES: The Public Safety Committee recommends the Administrative Committee consider increasing the Police Dispatchers wages $20.00 per month. The Administrative Committee recommends this request be granted and that it become effective July 1,1971. LIGHT &POWER DEPARTMENT: Light &Power Superintendent Sweetland submitted a request dated April 8,1971,that is attached to and made a part of these proceedings. The Committee considered the above mentioned request and discussed it at length. The following findings were recorded by the Committee: 1.The Superintendent should each year when requested. when an employee has many indicate all merit increases once This should apply particularly years of service with the department. 2.The employee in question has need for work habit improvements. The Committee feels the employee may not have enough work to keep busy. 3.The amount of salary increase is not realistic in the eyes of the Committee.The request is excessive. 4.The Committee recommends the request be denied RULES AND REGUlATIONS: The Committee discussed employee credit habits as they apply to individual dealings with merchants.
