This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing changes in employee
rules and regulations as suggested by the department heads. The Commit-
tee recommends the following changes:
A corrected copy of the employee rules and regulations are
attached to and made a part of these proceedings.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

FUNERAL LEAVE
An employee will have three days leave, five days leave if the funeral
is out of state, for a death in the immediate family, i.e. wife, child,
brother, sister, parents, parents -in-law, or a member of his immediate
household. Funeral leave up to one day may be authorized by the Depart-
ment head.
PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEE
During the first six months of employment, new employees will be con-
sidered probationary.
HOLIDAYS
Employees whose services are not essential to uninterrupted service will
be allowed to be absent from duty without loss of pay on the following
holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day or days celebrated in
lieu thereof.
HEALTH INSURANCE
The Town of Estes Park will pay the following amount to the Colorado
Hospital Service for the permanent employees health insurance:

PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION
PERA will be administered according to state law.
RETIREMENT
All employees shall be retired upon reaching age sixty-five unless a
specific exemption is granted by the Board of Trustees.
Department heads may be authorized to continue employment past the age
of 65 with the permission of the Board of Trustees.
Employees may be authorized to continue employment past age 65 by re-
commendation of the respective committee to the Board of Trustees.
Employees will be allowed to take accumulated annual leave upon regular
retirement.
HOLIDAY WORK
All employees working on holidays will be compensated by compensatory
time off. Department heads will approve the compensatory time taken.

ANNUAL LEAVE
The Town of Estes Park will use the fiscal year beginning July 1st of
one year and ending on June 30th of the following year for the purpose
of accounting for annual leaves The first year's employment of perma-
nent employees may be pro -rated for the purpose of figuring annual
leave.
Leave is granted at the supervisor's discretion and may be refused an
employee based on seasonal work load.
The maximum annual leave taken at any one time shall be not more than
the amount earned in a one year period.
VOLUNTARY TERMINATION
Voluntary termination will result in the cancellation of all accrued
annual leave unless at least thirty (30) days written notice is given.
INVOLUNTARY TERMINATION
Accrued annual leave will be paid as per regulations in effect.
TEMPORARY PERSONNEL
Annual leave will not be credited to temporary personnel.
The annual leave schedule is as follows:

SICK LEAVE
Sick leave is earned at a rate of one day per month. Accumulated sick
leave is limited to twelve days plus one day for each year of service.
Sick leave for temporary personnel will accrue on the same basis as
permanent personnel.
The Department head may require a Doctor's certificate for employee sick
leave in excess of two days.
Sick leave shall be defined as pertaining to the employee only and if
the employee must be absent from work to care for family illness, the
time off shall be charged to annual leave or leave without pay.
JURY DUTY
An employee serving on a jury will be paid his/her regular salary.
The Administrative Committeeofthe Town of Estes Park shall have the
authority to grant sick leave to an employee up to the fully accumulated
