HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Administrative Committee 1984-06-28RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS / Administrative Committee June 28,1924 Committee:Chairman Hix,Trustees Laing and Graves Attending:All Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Clerk O’Connor COMPENSATION SCHEDULE -ARTHUR YOUNG &COMPANY: Mr.Bill Agnew,representing Arthur Young and Company,was present and discussed the compensation study with the Committee. The study will be initiated June 28,1984 and Mr.Agnew will be meeting with department supervisors to begin collecting various information including job descriptions.Fifteen to twenty jobs will be audited.Personnel whose job has been selected to be audited will receive a “Position Questionnaire.”Arthur Young and Company’s desire is to acquire as much information as possi ble.The process will take approximately six weeks to complete at which time Arthur Young and Company will meet with the Commit tee. USE OF BOARD ROOM: Administrator Hill presented a memorandum to the Committee which discussed public use of the Board Room.The sound recording system is frequently misused resulting in a maintenance problem. In order to prevent misuse of the new recording system on order, the Committee recommends that Board Room use be limited to Town of Estes Park use and that all other groups and agencies use one of the other two public rooms.Should a group insist upon use of the Board Room,the Committee also recommends a charge be made for a Town of Estes Park employee to operate and manage the room and all of its equipment. INFORMATION DESK -LOBBY: Administrator Hill submitted a memorandum to the Committee which discussed installing an “Information Desk”in the main lobby of the Municipal Building.The workload of the Finance Office is increasing rapidly and an information desk might be one solution to better serve our citizens.The estimated cost for the equip ment necessary is $1,550.00.Administrator Hill has been in contact with Helen Platt regarding the volunteer program. Another option would be in hiring a full-time person.Pending further information from Ms.Platt,the Committee recommends postponing further action at this time.
