Collins —Paul Lanspery,Personnel Director of Fort Collins —

Paul Lanspery and Mike Powers discussed with the Committee a proposed
pay plan for the Town of Estes Park which is based upon the wage and
benefit survey conducted by the City of Longmont of the public and
private sector in Larimer and Weld Counties. The wage survey estab
lished what the current competitive market is for numerous job posi
tions in this area.In determining a pay plan for the Town, these
competitive figures were combined with factors unique to Estes Park
such as size, seasonal fluctuation, area and scope of responsibility,
etc.It was also recognized that different job positions occupy
different levels in the competitive market and that these levels change
often with changes in supply and demand. It was, therefore, recommended
to the Committee that the pay plan be adopted and updated each year to
remain competitive with the job market in this area.
The Committee took under advisement the proposed pay plan and several
recommendations.
The meeting was adjourned.
