1979 WAGE AND SALARY ADJUSTMENTS:
The Committee discussed anticipated wage and salary adjustment for
1979 due to cost of living,merit increases,and additional new em
ployees and recommends 10%be used as a tentative figure for bud
getary purposes.
RELIGIOUS SOLICITATION ORDINANCE:
The Committee recommends the Town Attorney be directed to draw an
ordinance similar to one adopted by the City of Brush which requires
registration of religious organizations desiring to solicit within
town limits.
EMPLOYEE RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Present overtime policies concerning Public Safety employees were
reviewed and the Committee recommends overtime continue to be com
pensated at the regular hourly rate.
The Committee also reviewed several ??housekeeping??changes for the
employee rules and regulations and recommends they be so amended (see
attachment).
INSURANCE PROPOSALS:
Having an insurance specialist prepare bid specifications for the
Town’s insurance in 1979 was discussed and the Committee directed
the staff to obtain more information.
ADMINISTRATIVE VEHICLE:
The Committee recommends bids be obtained for a new administrative
vehicle and the Mayor and Administrative Committee chairman be
authorized to award the bid.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.

3.Appeals
An employee may seek review of any disciplinary action against him or her
within fifteen working days of the Department head’s action.The review shall

be accomplished by the Town Administrator.The employee shall r&ques-t-s-uch-.

r-evew—i-n-—writing.delivered to the Town Administrator.The Town Administrator
shall affirm or reverse,in whole or in part,the Department head’s action in
fifteen days of the receipt of the employee’s request for review.The employee

1.Annual Leave
Annual leave may be accrued by all full—time and twenty or more hours per
week part—time employees in continuing positions.
The accrual of annual leave begins upon initial employment and is based on
the following schedule:

The following holidays will be observed e.l7:

Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day
Independence Day Christmas Day
Labor Day
Those employees whose duties are not essential to uninterrupted municipal
services will be given these holidays off with pay.Those employees other than
Department Supervisors who are required to work on these holidays will be com
pensated in accordance with the provisions of the overtime compensation section
of the personnel rules and regulations.(Board of Trustees—11/23/76 &6/07/77).
