HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Administrative Committee 1977-06-03BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO.,DENVER R E C 0 R D 0 F P R 0 C E E D I N G S Administrative Committee .zJune 3,1977 Committee:Chairman Petrocine,Trustees Dannels and Wagner Attending:Chairman Petrocine,Trustees Dannels and Wagner Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill USE OF TOWN SHOPS: The Administrative Committee directed the Department Supervisors to pre pare guidelines for employee use of the Town shops at its May 31,1977 meeting.These guidelines are attached to these proceedings.The Com mittee recommends they be approved. MERIT EVALUATION GUIDELINES: The Committee discussed the employee merit evaluations at length.The Committee decided to meet again with the Department Supervisors in Sep tember or October and at that time the guidelines will be discussed further. FRINGE BENEFITS -HOSPITAL INSURANCE: The Committee discussed the fringe benefit schedule as it applies to Hospital Insurance.After considerable discussion the Committee directed the Town Administrator to prepare an analysis and possible amendments to the Hospital Insurance program.The Committee will then consider amend ments to the program that may be able to make Hospital Insurance available to employees in the lower salary grades. CAPITALIZATION PROCEDURES: As suggested by the auditor,Wayne Hunt Company,the Committee authorized the capitalization of only those items valued in excess of $250.The present policy is to place in capital accounts only those items valued at more than $100. L;:h..1::J EMPLOYEE GUIDELINES FOR USE OF SHOP 1.Only Town employees should be allowed to use and be in the shop. 2.The use shall be only for work on the employee’s own vehicles or property. 3.The use shall be confined only to times other than regular Town business hours. 4.Yard gate and doors to the shop shall be kept closed. 5.Employee must furnish all of his own expendable items:grease,oil,rags,etc. 6.Works area shall be completely cleaned after using shop. 7.All tools shall be cleaned and put away before leaving shop.Broken or losttoolswillbereplacedbyemployee. 8.Make sure all lights are turned out and doors and gates are locked securely. 9.All employee property shall be removed from the premises during normal working hours. 10.The Department Supervisor shall be in charge of and responsible for his respectiveshoporgarage.
