RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
Public Buildings and Parks Committee
January 30,1969
Committee:Chairman Petrocine;Trustees Steele and Swanson
Attending:Chairman Petrocine;Trustee Steele
Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Street Supt.McCracken
Absent:Trustee Swanson
The Committee reviewed the proposed package insurance specifications.
This insurance plan will consolidate almost all of the Tow&s insurance
into one package. The Committee feels this consolidation will provide
the Town with more coverages and less total cost. The Committee recom
mends the Board of Trustees order the publication of the invitation
to bid on February 14,1969,and that the Board of Trustees open said
bids at their regular meeting of April 14,1969.A copy of the invita
tion to bid and the specifications are attached to and made a part of
these proceedings.
Mr.Kenneth Harger submitted a request to lease a one acre site at the
Town Dump for use as a wood yard. The Committee rejected this request
because of the contract now in effect with the firm of Parker-Makinster.
The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that bids be advertised
for two twenty-stall horse barns. The bids will be awarded subject to
the contract approval of the Colorado Arabian Horse Association. The
Board of Trustees will receive the bids at their meeting of March 10,1969.
It is suggested the two barns be placed adjacent to the barns now located
in the most south-easterly portion of Stanley Park. This is an effort
to save the greatest amount of parking and also maintain the most
efficient traffic flow.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
Dale G.Hill,Town Administrator
