Absent:Trustee Swanson
Accountant Lloyd Duncan presented the proposals for group hospital in
surance as submitted by the Equitable and Connecticut General Insurance
Companies.Mr.Duncan also presented a comparison of these plans with
the present plan now in effect(Blue Cross -Blue Shield).After con
siderable discussion,the Committee decided to make no change in the
insurance coverage at this time.The Clerk was instructed to write the
companies presenting the proposals and inform them there is no further
interest.
The Clerk was instructed to write the Cheyenne Frontier Days Committee
and inform them they could use Bond Park on July 18,1968 at 5:00 P.M.
for Indian dancing.
The First Southern Baptist Church of Colorado Springs has requested the
use of Bond Park on June 8,1968 at about 9:00 P.M.for the purpose of
presenting a program of Christian folk music entitled “Good News”.
They will require a source of electric power.The Committee decided to
allow the use with the following requirements:
1.No sermons permitted -only entertainment.
2.No collections.
3.The program will have to be conducted entirely within
the confines of Bond Park.
The Committee received a carpet bid from the Home Improvement Center.
The Committee decided to install the Porter Eldorado with foam back,
color -812 Burnt Orange in the lobby,halls and Clerk’s office and
Ozite Indoor-Outdoor carpet in the entry and steps.The bid submitted
for this is $890.15.
The Committee reviewed the Police Department heating system and decided
to install electric heat as follows:$536.00 for electric radiators
installed and $121.00 to do required outside wiring.The light and
power department estimated the monthly electric bill for the electric
heat to be $36.00.
The Clerk was instructed to have the billboard at Stanley Field changed.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
