HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Public Buildings and Parks Committee 1967-04-19RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Public Buildings &Parks Committee April 19,1967 Committee:Chairman Swanson;Trustees Brodie and Tregent Attending:Chairman Swanson;Trustees Brodie and Tregent Also Attending:Town Clerk Hill Mrs.Emma Potts,President of the Estes Park Woman’s Club and nine members of the Estes Park Woman’s Club Board of Directors met with the Public Buildings &Parks Committee for the purpose of negotiating the sale and purchase of Lots 5 and 6,Buenna Vista Terrace Addition to the Town of Estes Park,Colorado.The Public Buildings &Parks Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign a contract to purchase the above mentioned property.The Town of Estes Park will pay the Estes Park Woman’s Club $1,000.00 when the contract is signed and $29,000.00 when the Woman’s Club delivers a marketable title to the property.The Committee also recommends the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES (F THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: That the Town of Estes Park give the use of a portion of land that the Woman’s Club would consider a suitable building site for a club house. The Committee recommends the Town have its attorney draw the necessary resolutions and contracts to complete the above transaction. The Committee discussed the offer made by the Big Thompson Meadows,Inc. to sell the Joe Mills Pond property to the Town of Estes Park for the sum of $90,000.00.The Committee recommends the offer not be accepted. The Committee recommends Mr.Phil Martin be notified that any relocation of his train be confined to private property. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
