The Committee reviewed the proposed multi-purpose office building for Bond
Park.The Committee also reviewed the correspondence received protesting
the proposed location for this building.The Committee tabled any further
discussion on this building until the first part of 1967.
The proposed restroom for the west end of Elkhorn Avenue was discussed at
length.Locations for this restroom were reviewed.The Committee is con
sidering locating a new restroom in a more central area.The Committee
recommends additional signing for the restrooms now in existence.
The petition dated September 27,1966,requesting the surfacing of the
Buenna Vista Terrace Parking Lot was discussed.The Committee recommends
to the Board of Trustees that this parking lot be properly graded and that
it be given a peneprime treatment next spring.
The Committee reviewed the suggested remodeling for the lobby of the Town
Hall.The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees the following be
done at an estimated cost of $2,000.00:
1.10’suspended cling with plastic panels.
2.New lighting--alternating cool white and
warm white fluorescent tubes,1-40 watt
tube every 5 sq.ft.
3.Prefinished wood paneling walnut or cherry.
4.4’recessed entrance.
5.New aluminum and glass door.
6.2 new vertical venetian window blinds.
The Committee instructed the Clerk to check with the Light and Power
Department on the condition of the wiring within the Town Hall.
Letters were read from Mr.J.R.McKelvey and Big Thompson Meadows,Inc.,
offering the properties known as Rock Acres ($85,000.00)and Joe Mills
Pond ($150,000.00)for sale to the Town of Estes Park.The Committee feels
this falls within the scope of the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Recreation
District.These offers will be referred to the District.
The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the post office
parking lot be repaired now and resurfaced next spring.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
