The Committee discussed using Bond Park as a “Campground”for the Red Cloud
High School Band during the 1965 Rodeo.The Committee recommends overnight
camping be limited to Stanley Park with special permission granted each
time by the Board of Trustees.The Committee recommends Bond Park be
available for benefit performances upon the approval of the Mayor.
Chairman Leo Martin reported Mr.Fred Steffens has offered the Town the
Maurice Rockwell property at the corner of Big Horn Drive and Cleave Street
for possible use as a parking lot.The estimated price is $45,000.00.The
Committee suggests Police Chief Banks do a preliminary parking lot sketch
of the property in order to determine its value in parking automobiles.
