HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Public Buildings and Parks Committee 1964-10-05RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Public Buildings and Parks Committee October 5,1964 Committee:Chairman Leo Martin,Trustees Ronald Brodie and C.M.Hunter Attending:Chairman Leo Martin,Trustees Ronald Brodie and C.M.Hunter Also Attending:Town Clerk Dale C.Hill This meeting was called for the purpose of examining suggestions as to how much and what kind of insurance the Town should carry on its various buildings, contents,etc.Letters and suggestions were received from the following: Harry Liebfried,Ed Palmer,John Ramey and Chas.F.Hix.After considerable discussion,the Committee decided to contact the Colorado Municipal League for their advice as to insurance specifications and methods of insurance awards. The Committee discussed the Courtroom problem and came to the conclusion that the proposed room in the Research Center would probably not be available and other arrangements should be negotiated.Mr.Chas.F.Hix has offered the rental of his building on Moraine Avenue,formerly occupied by Louis Mitsdorffer’s liquor store,at an annual rental of $700.00.The Committee decided to contact the Fire Department and see if arrangements could be made to remain in the present location for another year.An annual rental fee of $900.00 would be paid to the Fire Department.Permanent Courtroom plans should be completed within the year 1965.
