This meeting was called for the purpose of examining suggestions as to how
much and what kind of insurance the Town should carry on its various buildings,
contents, etc.Letters and suggestions were received from the following:
Harry Liebfried,Ed Palmer,John Ramey and Chas.F.Hix.After considerable
discussion, the Committee decided to contact the Colorado Municipal League for
their advice as to insurance specifications and methods of insurance awards.
The Committee discussed the Courtroom problem and came to the conclusion that
the proposed room in the Research Center would probably not be available and
other arrangements should be negotiated.Mr.Chas.F.Hix has offered the
rental of his building on Moraine Avenue, formerly occupied by Louis Mitsdorffer’s
liquor store,at an annual rental of $700.00.The Committee decided to contact
the Fire Department and see if arrangements could be made to remain in the
present location for another year.An annual rental fee of $900.00 would be
paid to the Fire Department.Permanent Courtroom plans should be completed
within the year 1965.
Meeting adjourned.
