The actuarial study of the Policeman’s Pension Fund conducted by the State was
reviewed by the Policeman’s Pension Board.The study recommended a total fund
contribution of 28.l7 of payroll in order to be actuarially sound.
The new law exempts cities that are under the Social Security program and,
therefore,Estes rark is exempt until the law is either repealed or amended in
two years.
The Board discussed raising the employees’and Town’s contributions in order
to bring the Pension Fund more in line with the recommendations of the study.
The Board also discussed whether the present policy of refunding employees’
contributions upon termination of employment should be continued.
Another meeting was scheduled for November 27th at which time final
recommendations will be nade.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
