FIRE ZONES
Building Inspector Mowery presented a map showing the proposed changes
in Fire Zones.The Committee recommends the Fire Zones be amended as
follows:
FIRE ZONE I:Blocks 2,3,5,6 &8 -Town of Estes Park according to
the second amended plat thereof.
Lots 32,33,34 &35 -Riverside Sub.
Lot 6,Piltz Resub.of Lot 23,Block 10,and Lots 25 &
26,Block 8.
An unnamed tract of land that is bounded on the West by
Block 7,on the North by Elkhorn Avenue,on the East by the West line
of Lot 23,Block 6 and on the South by the South line of Block 7 exten
ded East to the Southwest corner of Lot 23,Block 6;all as shown on the
Second Amended Plat of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado.
FIRE ZONE II:Blocks 1,4,9 &11 -That certain tract of land platted
on the Second Amended Plat of the Town of Estes Park,as a park,
Lots 1A through 16A and First Re-sub of Buenna Vista
Terrace.
Lots 1 through 20,Riverside Sub.
Unnamed tract of land bounded on the West by the East
erly line of Block 11,on the South by Elkhorn Avenue,and on the North
and East by Black Canyon Creek extending Southeasterly from the Easterly
boundary of Block 11 to its intersection with Elkhorn Avenue;also that
unnamed tract of land located in the Town of Estes Park and bounded on
the West by the East line of Block 4,on the North by Elkhorn Avenue,
on the South by the Big Thompson River,and on the East by the inter
section of Elkhorn Avenue with the Big Thompson River,all as shown on
the present official plat of Town of Estes Park.
Lots 8,9,10 &12,Block 2 -Reclamation Add.
Quasebarth Resub.
Lots l7A,l7B,18 &19 -Sunny Acres Add.
FIRE ZONE III:Balance of land located in the corporate limits of the
Town of Estes Park
UNIFORM CODES
The Committee recommends the adoption of the 1968 National Electrical
Code and the 1968 State Plumbing Code.The Building Inspector will in
vestigate the need for the Town to adopt a gas fitting code and report
at the next Committee meeting.

ABANDONED TANKS
The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the Town adopt
an ordinance requiring proper removal or treatment of abandoned tanks.
Building Inspector Mowery will,with the Town Attorney’s advice,submit
a proposed ordinance.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
