AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND TOWN
OF ESTES PARK:
The Chamber Advertising Committee, in a recent study of the
Agreement between the Chamber and the Town, advised the Committee
of a new formula which, based upon current projections, more
accurately reflected the costs the Chamber expected to be
incurred in handling requests for informational packets generated
by the Direct Advertising Program. Currently, the cost of
handling each request for an informational packet is $.75 and the
ceiling on the possible reimbursement is $26,400. The 1985
Budget amount of $251,500 will remain the same. Following
discussion, the Committee recommends Paragraph 4 of the Agreement
be amended to read as follows:
4. The Chamber shall be responsible for the organization
and placement of the 1985 direct advertising program. The
sums paid by the Town shall be only for direct advertising
and the direct cost of answering and responding to inquiries
generated by the advertising as follows: the Chamber of
Commerce shall be paid $.84 for each inquiry they respond to
and the WATS telephone costs for responding to inquiries,
and the total of these costs shall not exceed $38,500.00
during the time of this agreement. These expenses shall be
reviewed for possible renegotiation by the Town and Chamber
no later than June 15, 1985.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
