CHAMBER OF COMMERCE QUARTERLY REPORT:
Chamber of Commerce Manager Ron Carney submitted the Chamber's
December 31st, 1978 financial statement (a copy of which is attached
to these minutes).
He also reviewed with the Committee the advertising program to date
and commented that a greater emphasis is being placed on attracting
groups. Advertising funds committed as of March 31, 1979 total
$19,135.00.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

NOTE 1 - ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE - MEMBERS

Accounts receivable - members are amounts due to the
-Chamber by members for prior year dues and for adver-
tising charges. An allowance for uncollectibles has
been recorded based on an estimated amount of these
receivables that will not be collected.
NOTE 2 - PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT
property and equipment has been recorded at cost. The
property and equipment consists entirely of furniture,
fixtures and office equipment.
Depreciation has been computed on the straight-line
method over the estimated useful lives of the assets.
NOTE 3 - DEFERRED INCOME
Deferred income is that amount of the current fiscal
year's members' dues which have been prorated based
on the organizations fiscal year ended December 31
in relation to the membership year which ends on
September 30.
