HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Code and Sanitation Committee 1970-05-14RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Code & Sanitation Committee May 14, 1970 Committee: Chairman Brownfield; Trustees Dannels and Steele Attending: Chairman Brownfield; Trustees Dannels and Steele Also Attending: Town Administrator and Building Inspector Mowery STREET NUMBERING: Mr. Guy Elder, Mr. Charles Helberg and Mr. Don Leckenby of Mountain Bell met with the Committee to discuss the proposed street numbering;; system. Mountain Bell will make arrangements to provide the community with in- stalled house numbers. Arrangements have been made with high school students for the project. The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the street num- bering system, as proposed by Mountain Bell, be adopted and that the Town Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary adopting ordinance. Some necessary street name changes and additions will require new street name signs. These signs will be paid for by Mountain Bell. SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL CONFERENCE: Chairman Brownfield reported he, Town Administrator Hill and Dump Opera- tor Makinster attended the Solid Waste Disposal Conference in Denver on May 12, 1970. The Committee was advised of discussions held this date with the Colorado State Health Department in regard to the Estes Park dump. SALVATION ARMY BOX: After a thorough discussion of the Salvation Army boxes now located on the post office parking lot, the Town Administrator was instructed to contact the Salvation Army and make arrangements to either have the area cleaned twice a week or have the boxes moved. LARIMER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Larimer County Health Department has indicated a desire to visit with the Committee about sanitation responsibility, both within and outside the Town limits. The Town Administrator was instructed to make the nec- essary arrangements for the meeting. LONE PINE ACRES REAL ESTATE SALES OFFICE: Building Inspector Mowery reported the Light and Power Department has had a request for power to a real estate office in Lone Pine Acres. This building was illegally moved into the Town of Estes Park and does not comply with the building code. The Committee instructed the Build- ing Inspector to see that the above mentioned building complies with the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park.
