HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Code and Sanitation Committee 1971-01-14RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Code & Sanitation Committee January 14, 1971 Committee: Chairman Attending: Chairman Also Attending: Building 12.5 HEIGHT LIMITATIONS: Brownfield; Trustees Dannels and Steele Brownfield; Trustees Dannels and Steele Inspector Mowery, Town Administrator Hill This Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that the requirement limiting buildings to two stories or floor levels in height be amended to read as follows: "no building shall exceed a height of thirty feet". MINIMUM SIZE DWELLINGS: The Committee recommends the Municipal Code be amended to require single family dwellings in R-1 and R-2 zones be a minimum of 600 square feet of floor space on the main floor. TRAILER PARK REGULATIONS: Building Inspector Mowery will research and investigate trailer park regulations and report back to the Committee his suggestions. OUT -OF -CITY BUILDING PERMITS: The Town of Estes Park does have the authority to charge for and enforce building inspection fees on any improvement connected to the Town's municipal water system. The Committee decided to table any implementa- tion of rural building inspections by the Town of Estes Park. MOVING BUILDINGS: The Committee discussed the problems involved in moving buildings and how to prevent uncompleted jobs. Building Inspector Mowery is to in- vestigate this problem and report back at the next committee meeting. FLASHING SIGNS: The Committee recommends that the Municipal Code be amended to prohibit new flashing signs and require compliance with existing signs by January 1, 1979. SIGNS IN THE SIDEWALK: The Committee recommends the Municipal Code be amended to prohibit signs imbedded in, painted on or applied to sidewalks.
