RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS ✓Code and Sanitation Committee April 22, 1987 Committee: Chairman Habecker, Trustees Aldrich and Brown Attending: Chairman Habecker, Trustee Brown Also Attending: Mayor Dannels, Town Administrator Hill, Public Works Director Widmer, Finance Officer Vavra, Assistant Public Works Director Gerstberger, Clerk O'Connor Absent: Trustee Aldrich CLEAN-UP WEEK - 1987: The Committee discussed the Clean Up Week Program for 1987. The primary purpose of the program is to rid all streets and public ways of trash. An estimated expense to provide the program is $2,000. The Committee recommends authorizing Clean Up Week for 1987 including the following guidelines: 1. The Mayor be authorized to issue a Proclamation stating Clean Up Week will be May 11 - 17, 1987. 2. Notify all chairmen, in writing, of their assignment including an "informational note" the chairmen could use in distribution of the trash bags, advising their neighborhood of their responsibility. 3. A chairman will be appointed for all areas located inside Town Limits. 4. Trash bags, up to one (1) case, will be issued to the Chairman or their designee. 5. A Public Works vehicle will be dispatched to pickup trash bags following a telephone call to the Municipal Building (586-5331). All trash must be bagged for pickup - appliances and furniture will not be collected by the Town. 6. The alternate date for Clean Up Week will be May 18 - 24, 1987. REPORTS: The Committee reviewed correspondence between the Larimer County Commissioners and staff concerning closure of the Estes Park Landfill.
