CLEAN-UP WEEK - 1986:
The Committee discussed the "Clean -Up Week Program" for 1986.
The primary purpose of the program is to rid all streets and
public ways of trash. An expense of approximately $1,000 was
incurred by the Town in providing trash bags in 1985. The Board
of Realtors has expressed an interest in assisting the Town in
this program by also providing trash bags. The Committee recom-
mends authorizing Clean Up Week 1986 including the following
guidelines:
1. The Mayor be authorized to issue a Proclamation stating
Clean -Up Week will be May 12 - 18, 1986.
2. Notify all chairmen, in writing, of their assignment
including an "informational note" the chairmen could use
in distribution of the trash bags advising their neigh-
bors of their responsibility.
3. A chairman will be appointed for all areas located
inside Town Limits.
4. Trash bags will be assigned to the Chairmen or their
designee.
5. A Public Works Department vehicle will be stationed in
Parking Lot f8 located behind the Municipal Building to
collect the trash bags.
MUNICIPAL CODE FEES AND CHARGES - DISCUSSION:
A discussion was held addressing revisions to the existing
Municipal Code Fees and Charges. The Committee recommends staff
prepare suggested revisions; obtain comments from Town Attorney
White; and return to the Committee prior to the end of June for
further review.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
