Chairman Habecker called the meeting of the Code and Sanitation
Committee to order at 2:00 P.M.
CLEAN-UP WEEK - 1988:
The Committee discussed the Clean Up Week Program for 1988. The
primary purpose of the program is to rid all streets and public
ways of litter. An estimated expense to the Town in providing
this program is approximately $2,000. The Committee recommends
authorizing Clean Up Week for 1988, including the following
guidelines:
1. The Mayor be authorized to issue a Proclamation stating
Clean Up Week will be held May 9 - 15, 1988.
2. A chairman will be appointed for all areas located
inside the Town Limits.
3. Notify all chairmen, in writing, of their assignment.
An "instructional note" will also be included.
4. Trash bags, up to one (1) case, will be issued to the
chairman or his designee.

5. A Public Works vehicle will be dispatched to pickup
trash bags following a telephone call to the Municipal
Building (586-5331). All trash must be bagged for
pickup - appliances and furniture will not be collected
by the Town.
6. The alternate date for Clean Up Week will be May 16 -
22, 1988.
REPORTS.
A brief discussion was held concerning "open burning" inside Town
Limits. Additional information may be forthcoming.
There being no further business, Chairman Habecker adjourned the
meeting at 2:52 P.M.
