APPLICATON FOR PENSION.
Steve Nytes has submitted his application for pension. Chief
Dorman reported that Mr. Nytes signed his application March 2,
1998 and it was certified by former Secretary/Treasurer Chrastil.
The Dept. cannot verify Mr. Nytes' training hours; however,
pursuant to a discussion with Town Attorney White pertaining to
the lack of training records, the Dept. is recommending approval
of said pension.
It was moved and seconded (Vavra/Dorman) the pension be approved,
deferring pension benefits until such time as Mr. Nytes has
attained the age of 50, and it passed unanimously.
REPORTS.
Chief Dorman noted that House Bill 98-1035 eliminated the current
statutory cap of $450 on the amount that a qualified volunteer
firefighter may receive as a monthly retirement benefit.
Treasurer Vavra noted that the Town will budget for a new
Actuarial Study in 1999.
