Chief Dorman called the meeting to order at 1:40 p.m.
APPLICATON FOR PENSION.
Gary McCracken has submitted his application for pension. Chief
Dorman confirmed that Gary has completed 23 years, 8 months and
20 days of active service, and that all fire equipment has been
returned. Discussion followed on Gary's terminal illness and
verification from staff that the 1997 Pension Fund contains a
sufficient fund balance for this expenditure, and it was moved
and seconded (Ford/Vavra) the pension be approved, and made
retroactive to June, 1996 (actual eligibility date for pension)
for a total disbursement of $4,300, and it passed unanimously.
Jack Rumley also submitted his application
confirmed Jack's active service of 24 years,
days; all fire equipment has been returned.
