TRUCK BIDS:
This Committee was authorized by the Board of Trustees to accept or
reject the bid submitted by Tyson Motors in the amount of $256.60 for
a 1949 GMC Tractor and a 1953 Lowboy Trailer.The Committee instructed
the Town Administrator to notify Tyson Motors the Town will accept
their bid.
WALKER SEWER LINE:
Mr.Vic Walker has asked for permission to connect his sewer line from
124 East Elkhorn Avenue to the Town’s sewer line now installed in the
Dark Horse parking lot.The Committee recommends this request be granted
providing Mr.Walker agrees to the following:
1.To pay the Town $421.57 which is one half the cost of the line.
2.Install the sewer line in cast iron under the Town’s proposed
rest room building.
3.Install approved man hole at point of connection.
4.Maintain all of the sewer line,both Walker’s and the Towns,
until such time as the Town begins using the line and one half
of the maintenance after this date.
5.Obtain any necessary permits from the Estes Park Sanitation
District.
FURNACE ROOM:
Eastwood and Gavell are to remove the old boiler,pipes,etc.from the
furnace room by December 1,1970.
SIDEWALK -CHAMBER OF COMMERCE:
The Committee instructed the Town Administrator to obtain two bids on
sidewalk replacement near the west end of the Chamber of Commerce
building.This job to be awarded to the low bidder.
BRIDGE:
After considerable discussion the Committee tabled any action regarding
the proposed bridge leading to the Dark Horse parking lot.The Committee
decided to coordinate the planning for this bridge with other factors,
i.e.the long range street plan,the design of the parking lot across
from the Town Hall and the traffic light at the intersection of MacGregor
and Elkhorn Avenues.The State Highway Department shall be requested to
advise the Town on traffic design.

SCHOOL SIDEWALK:
The Committee discussed the need for a sidewalk on Manford Avenue from
Highway 7 to the new grade school.The Committee instructed the Street
Superintendent to obtain cost figures on a six (6)foot walk located on
the north side of Manford Avenue.
COUNTY ROAD &BRIDGE FUND:
The Committee discussed the new law that provides Towns and Cities with
one half of the road and bridge fund revenues collected within the muni
cipalities.The municipalities have the choice of taking this either in
kind or cash.The Committee will make a recommendation after further
study.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
