The 1971 budget for Public Works was reviewed at length and will be
submitted to the Board of Trustees at their meeting on September 14,
1970.
The Public Works Committee recommends that the Public Safety Committee
study the feasibility of eliminating all parking on the East and West
sides of East Riverside Drive from the intersection of Elkhorn Avenue
to the bridge and on the south side of Elkhorn Avenue from the inter
section of Elkhorn Avenue and East Riverside Drive to the junction of
highways 34 and 36 and the north side of Elkhorn Avenue from the inter
section of MacGregor Avenue and Elkhorn Avenue to the junction of high
ways 34 and 36.
The Committee recommends the following storm drainage projects be
completed as soon as possible:
1.3rd Street from North Lane to Highway 36.Cost $1,656.00
2.Vista Lane.Cost $869.00
The Committee recommends the Town advertise for sale to the highest
bidder the GMC Tractor,number G-9 and the Low Boy,number G-l2.
The Committee discussed the possibility of obtaining a used tractor
and low boy from Larimer County.
The Public Works Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that
the Town not purchase the old High School.The Committee felt the
action taken in 1968 regarding the old school building was correct
and that the Town does not at this time need the building for govern
mental purposes.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
