NEW MUNICIPAL BUILDING:
A.Folding wall -The Committee recommends a folding wall be in
stalled in the Board Room.The cost estimated for this wall
is $1,400.00.
B.Colors —The Committee recommends the architecural firm select
all colors for the building.Town Engineer Van Horn will
represent the Town in this matter.
C.Furnishings -The Committee recommends the following procedure
be followed in the furnishings for the building:
1.Departments will submit requests to the Town Administrator.
2.These requests will be reviewed along with a furniture
inventory by the architect.
3.Suggestions will be made to the Departments by the architect.
4.Departments will select from the architect’s suggestions.
5.The Committee will make final approval prior to orders being
placed.
D.Unassigned rooms -Floor and wall coverings will be recommended
to the Committee at the next meeting.
Town Engineer Van Horn informed the Committee that the move-in date
for the Municipal Building is October 31,1973.
UPPER THOMPSON SANITATION DISTRICT -RIGHT-OF-WAY:
A request,dated June 19,1973,from the Upper Thompson Sanitation District
for rights-of-way through the Tallant Addition and the Power Plant Property
was reviewed by the Committee.
The Committee made several changes in the right-of-way form including pro
visions for top soil to be replaced and seeding required where requested
by the Town.The Town Attorney will draw a revised right-of-way form.
The Committee recommends conditional approval for these two rights-of—way
subject to the Town Engineer’s field inspection of the actual routing.
STREET IMPROVEMENTS -1973:
The Committee approved the following changes in the 1973 street improve
ment program:
1.West Riverside overlay extended 50’
2.East Riverside overlay extended 50’
3.Park View Lane estimate revised from $3,730.00 to $4,676.00.

PROGRESS REPORTS:
1.Spruce Drive bridge -The Town Engineer reported the bridge
deck will be poured on June 29th and traffic will begin over
the bridge by July 4,1973.
2.Bike and walk ways -Town Engineer Van Horn reports this project
in the planning process.
3.Stanley Park -Town Engineer Van Horn reports barn lighting and
fence complete.
4.American Legion Parking Lot -Town Engineer Van Horn reports a
preliminary survey shows the parking design to be extremely
limited due to the dimension of the property.There is a
possibility of some type of screening for the cliff.Further
study of this project.
5.Post Office Lot -The Street Superintendent and the Town Engineer
reported on the idea of placing a “speed bump”between the lot
and West Riverside Drive to give the motorist an indication of
the proper place to park.The lack of a form to place this “speed
bump”requires a delay.This will be pursued in 1974 if the need
is shown.
6.Post Office letter drop -The Town Engineer reports some difficulty
in obtaining the required metal forms for the concrete base.
7.Fire plugs -The Water Superintendent and the Town Engineer
presented a plan for the Fall River Addition plug placement.
The Committee instructed the staff to integrate the Fall River
Addition requirements into the Town’s total fire plug plan.
The Water Superintendent and Town Engineer will submit a
revised fire plug plan as soon as available.
8.Wiest Drive bridge —The Street Superintendent reported the
Wiest Drive bridge south of Bob and Tonys is in a very danger
ous condition and that the barricades do not remain in place.
The Committee authorizes the removal of this bridge as the
plan includes a new concrete bridge to replace the two wooden
bridges on Wiest Drive
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
