TRANQUIL LANE:
Three property owners from the Tranquil Vail Subdivision appeared before
the Committee and requested consideration of the oiling of the balance of
Tranquil Lane.The Street Department will make the necessary repairs on
this street in the immediate future.The Committee assured the property
owners that proper consideration would be given the surfacing of this
street as soon as funds are available.
BOND PARK:
The Director of Public Works reported that the curb and sidewalks are now
under construction,and it appears,they will be completed this week.The
sprinkler system supplier (Thompson Pipe and Steel)does not yet have a
firm delivery date.It appears we will experience further delay with the
installation of the sprinkler system.It is the Committee’s recommendation
that underground wiring be installed in the same trenches used for the
sprinkler system,and that 10 to 12 low profile lighting fixtures be installed
in Bond Park.The estimated cost of this improvement is $5,000.00.All
improvements in Bond Park will take into consideration the proposed future
development of the street system.
MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS:
Two sets of letters reading “Fire —Police —Rest Rooms”have been ordered
for the Fire and Police Building.These letters will be attached to the
building on the South and West exposures.The letters will be anodized
aluminum,satin—finished bronze,10 inches high.The estimated cost is
$800.00,and delivery is estimated at 8 weeks.
A pedestal,for the lobby,to indicate specific meetings being held in the
Building has been ordered.
Landscaping for the front of the Municipal Building is being delayed because
of delivery of parts for the sprinkler system.There is no scheduled shipping
date for these parts.
TALLANT ADDITION:
At the Mayor’s suggestion,the Committee has instructed the Town Administrator
to prepare and submit to the proper authorities a Federal Aid request for the
development of the Tallant Addition as an outdoor recreational area.The esti
mated cost of this development will be $100,000.00.The Federal Aid when obtained
would be 50%of this amount.

COLORADO PIPE LINE CO.
Colorado Pipe Line Co.has withdrawn their request to store pipe line equipment
in the Tallant Addition.
BOND PARK USE:
Mr.John Vasey,film maker and director,has submitted an application to use
Bond Park August 19 —22,1974,from 10:00 A.M.til 4:30 P.M.A small wooden
set and a tent will be used.The Estes Park Chamber of Commerce has recommended
this request be granted.The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees
this request be approved.
EASENENTS:
The Committee recommends that easement descriptions as contained in the Subdivision
Code be amended to provide specific uses for various easements.The Town Attorney
will be instructed to draw the necessary amendment to the Municipal Code.
BRIDGES:
The Director of Public Works reported the Ivy Street and Weist Drive Bridges will
arrive on site sometime during the month of October.
The 1975 Budget for bridges will be submitted in detail to the Public Works
Committee in August.
MUSEUM:
The Committee recommends the Museum be allowed to transfer its $2,000.00 allocated
for capital expense to the regular expenses of the Museum for the year 1974.
LOADER:
The Director of Public Works informed the Committee the new rubber tire loader
has arrived in Estes Park today.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned..
