SIDEWALK REPAIR:
Building Inspector Mowery reported all sidewalk repairs ordered by the
Board of Trustees have been arranged for or completed except No.10,
Elton Johnson,W 5’of Lot 18 and all of Lots 19 to 23 inc.,Blk.3,
155-161 W.Elkhorn Avenue.
The Committee instructed Mr.Mowery to obtain at least two (2)bids on
the above mentioned sidewalk to be opened at the December 8th meeting
of the Board of Trustees.
The prescribed legal method of collection will be followed.
PARKING LOT NO.7:
After considerable discussion about the development of the parking lot
and the sale and removal of the present buildings,the Committee re
commends the following:
1.Town Engineer Van Horn’s cost estimates,dated November 17,1969,
be accepted and approved.A copy is attached to these proceedings.
2.Lay sewer and water lines for the proposed public rest rooms
prior to the fill for the parking lot.
3.The Town Engineer will survey the street right-of-way for East
Riverside Drive during the survey of Parking Lot No.7.
4.Review the plan with the Beautification Committee prior to
final adoption.
5.A sub-committee consisting of Street Chairman Steele,Town Ad
ministrator Hill,Street Superintendent McCracken,Building In
spector Mowery and Town Engineer Van Horn will review the bid
documents on the removal of the present buildings prior to
publication of invitation to bid.
6.Fill material from Virginia Drive near the Marshall property
will be used in this lot.
ALLEY NORTH OF PARK lANE:
Street Superintendent McCracken reported the First National Bank will
finish the work needed to properly repair and drain this alley as soon
as the telephone company removes the pole now located in the center of
the proposed sidewalk.

EU(HOPN AVENUE BRIDGE -SIDEWALK:
The Conunittee recommends the property owners be required to finance the
construction of a sidewalk on the north side of and parallel to the
Elkhorn Avenue bridge should the Board of Trustees decide this sidewalk
is necessary for pedestrian traffic.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
