WHEREAS,the Estes Park Woman’s Club is the
longest continuous presence in community
betterment,celebrating 110 years of community work
from 1912-2022,and provided support for citizens
prior to the incorporation of the Town of Estes Park;
and
WHEREAS,the purpose of the Estes Park Woman’s Club
is to bring together women interested in building a better
community,as modeled in the book,“Then the Women
took Over”;and
WHEREAS,the Estes Park Woman’s Club supports multiple
entities within the Town including the Estes Valley Library,
Rocky Mountain National Park,The Town of Estes Park,and
Estes Park Schools;and
WHEREAS,the Estes Park Woman’s Club advocated for the
establishment of the first information bureau for tourists and donated
land to the Department of Interior providing a location for the
administration building of Rocky Mountain National Park;and
WHEREAS,members of the Estes Park Woman’s Club work to achieve a
vision of a strong community through flindraising and community
initiatives.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,do hereby recognize
THE ESTES PARK WOMAN’S CLUB
and do hereby find it an honor and distinct pleasure to present this
proclamation in recognition of the many contributions and the joy the club
has brought to the Town of Estes Park.
