LAND EXCHANGE:
A letter from the Estes Park Sanitation District dated July 10,
1975 stating they will make a land exchange proposal was read
to the Committee.
CLEANING SERVICE:
Robert Middaugh presented a “Cleaning Service Analysis”to the
Committee.After considerable discussion the Committee decided to
recommend to the Board of Trustees that the cleaning contract
with Village Maintenance Service be terminated on September 1st
and that the Town provide its own cleaning service as outlined
in the “Cleaning Service Analysis”.
1/2 TON PICKUP:
The Committee authorized the Director of Public Works to obtain
bids on a ½ton pickup,both two and four wheel drive.
EAST RIVERSIDE WALKWAY:
Due to the deteriorating condition of the sidewalk on East
Riverside Drive,the Committee recommends a 6”cap be installed
at the same time the Ivy Street bridge is replaced (fall).
Colorado Pipeline will pay $400 of the cost due to damage during
the sewer line installation.Cost estimate for the job is $11
per square yard or $2805 total.
STREET CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS:
The Committee directed the Director of Public Works to proceed with
recommendations for street construction standards.
MEETING ROOM 2 -BLACKOUT CURTAINS:
The Committee authorized the Director of Public Works to proceed
with the installation of blackout curtains in meeting room #2.
The total cost estimate is $100.
INFORMATION CENTER:
The Committee recommends the Board of Trustees approve the fol
lowing funding schedule for the construction of the Information
Center in Tallant Park:
Chamber of Commerce $35,000.00
Town of Estes Park 55,000.00

1976 PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS:
The Committee discussed various projects it would like to see
accomplished during the year of 1976.The Committee will review
a proposed 1976 budget at its next meeting.
SAFER ROADS PROJECT:
The Committee recommends the Board of Trustees approve an amended
Safer Roads Agreement with the Colorado Division of Highways.
The amount of the agreement has changed from $44,000 to $53,400.
PAVEMENT MARKING:
The Director of Public Works reported the street marking program
funded by the State will proceed about the end of July ($1500).
STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM:
The 1975 street improvements program is complete at an estimated
cost of $74,000.
WEST RIVERSIDE PARK:
The construction of West Riverside Park is underway.All work
should be completed except for sod which will be installed next
spring.
PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE:
Plans and specifications are now complete for the new Public Works
building.Invitations to bid will be issued in the very near future.
SIDEWALK REPAIR:
A report on sidewalk repair is attached
BICYCLE RACKS:
Cost figures on bicycle racks are atIched.The Committee recommends
the Public Works Department be authorized to purchase and install
