The general purpose of this meeting was to decide Water Department policy on
serving custera that are too high to serve without pping. It was the
opinion of the Co=itt.e that the Water Department would not start pping
water in order to serve high elevations. The Water Department can serve
an elevation of 7875 feet above sea level delivering approxfmatly 35 to 38
pounds of pressure.Pzaptng stations would, for sU practical purposes,be
a responsibility of the Water Department regardless of the arrangements
made by the owner, developer, eto. The Committee also felt a precedent
would be set if the Town permitted one person to install a pmçng station.
In regard to the Prospect Heights sub division, the Water Corzmd.ttee reocmeends
to the Board of Trustees that water service could be extended only to the
approximately tiMnty five (25)lots that can adequately be served by gravity.
Verne Fanton was instructed by the Comeittee to write a letter to the developer
of Prospect Heights about the recomeendation just made.
—BIJCI CANTON WATER SUPELT:
