HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1958-02-12WATER tiEPARTNT COiITTE 33rd meeting,February 12,l95 Committee:Mayor Graves,Chairman Dannels,Herzog,Snart,Tailant,Hiil and Fanton Attending:It It 11 REC.EATIOiJ DISTRICT Mr.William Finley and Charles Kremenak representing the Rocky )buntain Metropolitan Recreation District,appeared before the Board,and out lined a proposal to pump water from Lake Estes to the Country Club Golf Course.Mr.Finley stated that the Town had ear—marked funds on hand for the development of the golf course and asked that they be transfered to the Recreation Disirict for this water development.The Corxtmittee unanimously agreed to recommend the transfer of funds,provi ding the existing golf course contract between the Town and Henry 3. Hughes ‘e assigned to the iecreation District0 The Committee agreed that the city water service to green No.7, should remain as is,for this year. In reviewing water rates,the Comutittee stated that water used by the Recreation District shall ie at established rates,including the Country Club building and Swimming pool. 3ARR SUBDIVISION,“HOLIOZY ACRE’S” The question of determining a location where the present water main could be tapped,to serve the Barr subdivision was reviewed.Lee Tailant explained that if the pre3ent 4”main were tapped at the East end of Grand Estates,that within a very few years,with normal growth adequate water service could not be maintained in Grand Estates or holiday Acres subdivisions.The Superintendent and the Coiudttee unanimously agreed that water shuld be extended from the “main at lot 4,Lake View Tracts subdivision,in order to properly serve the new subdivision. The Committee agreed to recommend that the Town proceed to have the complete engineering,plans and specifications,prepared for the proposed new Fail River water supply. JL TAP APPLICATIONS John Vincent,application denied,no new service permitted. Al Alzheimer:1 duplex,approved.Policy permits water service renewed, where previous service was destroyed by fire, Meeting adjourned. e. .
