HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1963-09-03RECORD CF PROCEEDINGS Water Committee September 3,1963 Committee:Chairman,Henry Dannels;Trustees,Richard Snart and Carl Swanson Attending:Chairman,Henry Dannels;Trustee,Carl Swanson Also Attending:Dale G.Hill,Town Cleric;Vic McCracken,Water Superintendent Absent:Trustee,Richard Snart Water Applications: After a long discussion concerning water shortages,the Committee decided to delay for one month any action on the following applica tions for water:Lawrence Kimsey,Prospect Park Lot 5;and J. Stanley Gray,Broadview Lot 6. The above applications will be presented again to the Water Committee after the W.W.Wheeler water engineering report is received. Jeep: Superintendent McCracken asked authority to call for bids to re place our department jeep No.5.This jeep was purchased August 31, 1956.The Water Committee recommends authorization to call for bids on the above vehicle. cli]orine Machine: Superintendent McCracken reports a new thiorine machine needed for the Glacier Creek headworks.The estimated cost of this machine is $1,000.00.The Superintendent reports this machine will work into any plant designed at a later date for the Glacier Creek headworks.The Committee recommends the purchase of this equip ment. National Park Village Sewage System: Superintendent McCracken informed the Com:ittee the sewage from National Park Village has been running across the grounds surrounding the water plant.The State Board of Health and the County Sanatorium have been urged to correct this situation.It is the opinion of the town attorney this problem can be stopped by court action.The Committee discussed this problem at length but could come to no solution.
