The Water Conmdttee reviewed the Water Accounts Receivable as of this date.
The Water Committee recommends two fire plugs be installed in Village Acres
at an estimated cost to the Town of $400.00 each.
Mr.N.R.Field’s letter of October 10,1964,in regard to the Hondius Heights
water contract, was discussed and the Committee recommends the Town obtain
further legal opinion before answering Mr.Field’s request.
The Water Committee recommends the Town accept Mr.Ebner’s offer for a
right-of-way and access road to the metal tank on High Drive Heights.Mr.
Ebner has requested he be granted four taps at the rates in effect at the
time they are issued if and when the Town changed its policy on outside-the-
corporate-limits taps.
Superintendent McCracken reported Job No.3 on Columbine Avenue, consisting
of 745 feet of 2”steel pipe,is completed and in service.Job No.1,Stanley
Line, has started and is now under construction.
Eastwood and Gavell request the Town pay them for materials on the job if
and when the weather prohibits normal construction. The Committee recommends
Eastwood and Gavell be paid for all materials delivered to the job or stored
on Town property.
The Water Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees that if and when
the Lone Pine Subdividers request water, they must install an 8”line from
the existing 8”line near the Catholic Church to the Lone Pine Subdivision.
The Committee suggests the Town pay the difference in cost between the 4”
and 8”pipe.The Committee suggests this difference be figured only upon
the cost of the pipe and not on any labor connected with its installation.
Future development of the Lone Pine Subdivision will require all water mains
to be installed in the entire Lone Pine Subdivision at the expense of the
subdivider. The Water Committee recommends the subdividers of the Lone
Pine Subdivision install the necessary 4”water main to loop in and connect
to the existing 4”water line south of Highway #34.
The Water Committee recommends that Mr.Moutoux and Mr.Menard be permitted
to connect their service lines to the existing 2”main near the Irene
Brinkley property on Virginia Drive.
Meeting adjourned.
