Mr.Warren Hurd submitted a request on behalf of the Estes Park Construction Company for a water tap on Lot 29 Hondius Heights Subdivision.The Water Committee recommends this request be denied.The Board of Trustees has adopted the policy that no out-of-town taps be allowed.Mr.Dannels read the following statement to Mr.Hurd in regard to the Town’s water policy: Under the provisions of Paragh 5 of the Hondius agreement,the Town has adopted the policy that for the present,no further taps will be granted to the Hondius property.This policy applies to all properties outside the corporate limits. In general,from the engineering data obtained by the Town,the Town Board determined that it does not have a sufficient water supply at this time to meet the needs of the Town and that because of this fact,the Board adopted the policy of making no additional taps outside the corporate limits.” N C The Water Committee discussed at length the metal storage tank now located on Mr.Ebner’s property on the High Drive.The Committee recommends Town Attorney Hartwell inform Mr.Ebner’s attorney the Town cannot promise water taps and that the original offer of $300.00 be extended again and that should this offer be refused,the Town would remove the metal storage tank in question.
