This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing water main rights-oway.
Town Attorney Hartwell recommended the Town record the right-of-way agreement
signed by Donald MacGregor. The Committee agreed and ordered the agreement
recorded.
Upon the advice of Town Attorney Hartwell, the Committee decided to include
a statement in all water line contracts to the effect that the Town will not
be held liable to any extra costs due to any right-of-way dispute that may
arise. The Committee also decided to have the new water line replacing the
old wooden line staked and the owners of the property notified as to the
intent of the Town to install the line.Town Attorney Hartwell will prepare
the letter to be sent to all property owners.
The Water Committee reviewed with the Attorney the policy now in effect in
regard to not granting water taps outside the corporate limits of Est Park.
Attorney Hartwell discussed the delay on the McLean right-of-way.The
delay seems to be in the partial releases of deeds of trust by persons holding
mortgages on the above property.Attorney Hartwell said the Town could go
ahead without the releases if the delay became too long.
Meeting adjourned.
