Mr.Shanks,Mr.Burgess,and Mr.Smith,owners of the Lone Pine Subdivision
appeared before the Committee to review the water agreement previously made
by the Town of Estes Park.The basic agreement is as follows:The Lone
Pine Subdividers will install an 8’water main from the existing 8”water
main near the Catholic Church to the Lone Pine Subdivision.The Town of
Estes Park will pay the difference in cost between a 4”and an 8”line.This
difference will be figured only upon the cost of material and not upon any
labor connected with the installation.The development of the Lone Pine
Subdivision will require all water mains to be installed in the Lone Fine
Subdivision at the expense of the subdivider.The standard 75 refund 10-year
water connection agreement will be applied to this subdivision.Superintendent
McCracken will aid the subdividers in drawing the plans and specifications
for the proposed water extension.
Mr.Lew 0.Williams submitted an application for water at the “Parton Wood
Shop”on State Highway #66.The Committee rejected this application because
it is located outside the corporate limits of Estes Park.
The Water Committee approved a letter to be written to Mr.Lester Rivers in
regard to the Townts policy on lowering water mains.
The Water Committee reviewed the application of the Fish Creek Corporation
for annexation and water service to the Town of Estes Park.
Superintendent McCracken reported the radios in water department trucks #1
and #2 need to be replaced and the old radio in truck #1 should be retained
and installed in t1 snow removal truck.The estimated cost of the new
radios is $600.00 each.The Committee recommends this purchase be approved.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
