HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1965-10-1100 RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Water Conunittee Meeting October 11,1965 Committee:Chairman Henry Dannels;Trustees Carl Swanson &Leo Martin Attending:Chairman Henry Dannels;Trustee Carl Swanson Also Attending:Water Superintendent V.L.McCracken,and Town Clerk Dale G.Hill Absent:Trustee Leo Martin Mr.John Jones appeared before the Committee and submitted a request to purchase water on a wholesale basis.Mr.Jones would use this water to serve 60 acres of ground on the southwest edge of Estes Park.Mr.Jones would retail this water to his customers and assume all responsibility for its delivery.Mr. Jones stated he would fill the reservoir during the off-peak.The Water Com mittee will study the above request and give Mr.Jones an answer at some future date. The following rural water applications were rejected by the Water Committee because of the Town’s policy not to grant additional out of town water connections: Fred Hoerner,Trail Ridge Motel,Beaver Point,17 units; Lindoe,Inc.,6 acres east of Colonial Motel on #34,12 units; Clara E.Ball,Devils Gulch,1 unit. After considerable discussion,the Water Committee decided to enforce the minimum water main size of four inches. Superintendent McCracken reported a new connection has been installed for the Ferguson Subdivision main and he believes this connection will improve the service to a point that a new main may not be necessary.
