Water Committee Meeting (Special)
May 28,1965

Also Attending:Superintendent V.L.McCracken and Town Clerk Dale G.Hill.
Mr.D.R.Pulliam of Loveland appeared before the Water Committee and explained
his proposal to sell certain water rights to the Town of Estes Park.After
a one-hour discussion with Mr.Pulliam,the Water Committee instructed the
Clerk to contact the water rights engineering firm of W.W.Wheeler and instruct
Mr.Wheeler to act on behalf of the Town in evaluating Mr.Pulliam’s offer.
(Mr.W.W.Wheeler was contacted on June 1,1965,and agreed to act for the
Town in evaluating the Fulliam water proposal).
The Water Committee proceeded with the bond refunding proposals for the
General Obligation Water Bonds dated 12-1-53 and 7-1-64.The following
net interest savings proposals were submitted:Boettcher &Co.--$18,023.66;
Steam Bros.&Co.--$15,698.82;and Cauflin &Co.--$10,167.00.The
Water Committee recommends the proposal submitted by Boettcher &Co.be
accepted.
Mr.Lloyd M.Hess submitted an application for domestic water for a one-family
home.This application was rejected because the property in question is
outside the corporate limits of Estes Park.Mr.Lloyd N.Hess also submitted
an application to install a bathroom in a house already connected to the Town
Water Department.This request was approved.
The Water Committee recommends that the Board of Trustees amend the Water
ordinance as suggested in Paragraph 6,Page 5 of the of the water rates and
service policy report submitted,May,1965,by C.H.Hoper and Associates.
Superintendent McCracken reported Mr.Fred Hoerner at Beaver Point wishes
permission to fill his swimming pool once.The Committee approved this
request at a cost of $1.80 per thousand gallons.The pool is to be filled
under the supervision of Water Superintendent McCracken.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
