HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1966-01-0300 00 RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Water Committee Meeting January 3,1966 Conunittee:Chairman Dannels;Trustees Swanson and Martin Attending:Chairman Dannels;Trustees Swanson and Martin Also Attending:Superintendent McCracken and Town Clerk Hill The Water Committee reviewed the Accounts Receivable as of this date. Superintendent McCracken reported he had notified Phillips-Carter-Osborn, Town water engineers,to proceed on the Glacier Creek pumping station. Superintendent McCracken reported Lone Pine Acres water system is now being installed.The Clerk reported that Lone Pine Acres Subdividers have deposited $18,438.23 with the Town of Estes Park.This amount is the subdividers’share of the transmission main and water system.The Water Department’s share of the 8”transmission main amounts to $7,334.09.The Clerk reported the invoices for material are being paid in time to obtain the available discounts. Superintendent McCracken was instructed to obtain verbal bids on connecting the end of Lone Pine 8”water main to the 4”water main south across U.S. Highway #34.The estimated cost of this connection is $1500.00.The Water Committee will recommend to the Board of Trustees the award of the above bid. Town Engineer Paul Van Horn will check the Hauge property line in relation to the needed right of way for the completion of the connection through Stanley Heights to the Devils Gulch system. The Water Committee reviewed the request submitted by the Fish Creek Corporation on July 17,1964 for possible water service and annexation to the area known as Sanborn Acres.
