Water Cormnittee Meeting
July 7,1969

Absent:Trustee Swanson
Dr.Schroeder,Gartner Haus Restaurant,appeared before the Committee
for the purpose of questioning the seating count as it applies to the
basement room of his restaurant.This count (100 seats @ $2.40 each =
$240.00)was established in 1961 by the Water Committee.The Water
Committee reconmiends no change be made in this basement seating count
until such time as all water rates are re-structured.
The Water Committee was bought up to date on the progress of the fed
eral aid application in the amount of $475,000.00.
Mr.Clarence Graves,Estes Park member of the Six City Water Committee,
reviewed the actions of the Six City Committee.Mr.Graves reported
they were in the process of hiring an engineering firm to do a Hydrology
Study.It is estimated this cost will be between $6,000.00 and $15,000.00.
Estes Park will be required to pay 1/6 of the costs.Mr.Graves recom
mended very strongly that the Town remain as a full participating mem
ber of this group.The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees
that the Town follow Mr.Graves advice and authorize the payment of funds
as required for the Hydrology Study.
The Committee instructed the Town Administrator to have an ordinance
drawn amending the fill rate for residential swinmiing pools to 30 per
day.Commercial pools will remain at the present 60 per day rate.

Franklin Land Co.-request for residential service to Lots/37 and
38,Prospect Park and Lots 15,16,18,19 and 27,Hondius Heights.
Committee approved this application.
Clyde T.Francisco,Lot 1,Division 6,High Drive Heights.Com
mittee rejected this request because the elevation is in excess of
the allowable “blue line”.
Wilbur Racy,14 acres above the Town Dump to serve 8 lodge units,
1 home and 1 stable.Committee rejected this application because
the elevation is in excess of the allowable “blue line”.
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned.
