HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Water Committee 1972-05-01fl n RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Water Committee Meeting May 1,1972 Counnittee:Chairman Prosser;Trustees Dannels and Sutter Attending:Chairman Prosser;Trustee Sutter Also Attending:Town Administrator Hill,Superintendent McCracken, Business Office Manager Dun an Absent:Trustee Dannels RURAL WATER APPLICATIONS: Esther Fenton:One rural residence located south of Upper Broadview.The Committee re commends approval and,at the same time,advising the customer that the Town assumes rio responsibility for maintenance since a private water line is being tapped. Harley F.Glidden:One rural residence located on Lot 42,Reeds Subdivision.The Committee recommends approval. Carl F.Vogel:One rural residence located on Fish Creek Road on the Dunraven property. The Committee recommends approval and advising the customer that the Town assumes no responsibility for maintenance since a private water line is being tapped. Lesley 0.McNillin:One rural residence located on Lots 40 and 41,Charles Heights Subdivision. The Committee recommends tabling until after July 1,1972 to determine whether or not the new 18 inch main will pro vide sufficient water for the lots in the second filing of the subdivision. Robert H.Bigler:Engineer Paul Van Horn presented an unrecorded plat of the Bigler Sub division located in Prospect Valley. Mr.Bigler requests water for five rural residences.The Committee re commends Mr.Bigler conform to previous Committee action requiring Larimer County’s acceptance of the Bigler plat before granting approval. CSU SEMINAR ON LOCAL WATER SUPPLY AND MANAGEMENT: Town Administrator Hill advised the Committee of a three day “training session”to be held May 22,23 and 24 at Colorado State University. GO RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Water Committee Meeting Nay 1,1972 Page two CARRIAGE HILLS ANNEXATION: Town Administrator Hill advised the Committee that the Town has been approached concerning annexation of a portion of Carriage Hills,with water being furnished by The Crystal Water Company.The Committee re commends preliminary study of the situation by the entire Board of Trustees. WATER CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS REPORT: Superintendent McCracken reported that plant construction delays are affecting the availability of water to customers in higher elevations supplied by water from the new 18 inch water line.
